First round of playoffs!

Taking on the AFC All-stars looked daunting, a QB with a really strong arm and some towering receivers to throw to. Not to be deterred the Giants stuck to our plan and coverage on Defense was spectacular with picks by Jonathan, Ty and Aiden making a huge difference in shutting that down not even allowing a first down! Arjun got us off on the right foot with an amazing catch and run for a TD! Ayal tore off for some great runs and was disruptive when rushing their QB coming so close to getting sacks. The wheels on Benjamin when you give him the ball….watch out! Luke and Charlie were clutch on Defense, with Charlie wrapping up their receivers at safety and Ty continues to make fantastic decisions as our QB being elusive as heck and making their rushers miss! Everyone contributed to a hard fought win against a very solid team. No MVPs this week because everyone played like a rockstar, everyone deserves it this week! On to week 2!

Defensive battle!

Two NY teams, Giants/Jets, stepped into todays game undefeated looking to see who would come out on top. The first few series were slugfests, both teams barely gaining yardage and no first downs. Arjun took away a Jets deep ball with a nice INT but we failed to capitalize on the field position, despite a fantastic run by Jonathan. Giants struck first with a late first half touchdown by Charlie, a quick flip from Ty got him right past the goal line! Arjun followed that up catching the extra point to make it 7-0. The Jets came out hot the second half but our defense, with Aiden and Caden up front, came out hotter, holding them to limited yards. Arjun ripped off for an amazing catch and run to put us up 13-0 which is where we held on to end the game. The MVP goes to the defense, who were in perfect position every play, ensuring 100% coverage and keeping the Jets from putting any points on the board. Fantastic game all around!

Shorthanded Giants get after it!

Looking uphill coming into this game without our two starting QBs we made some adjustments and came out on top. A solid defensive effort (we only let one by us early in the game) allowed us to shine on offense. Our MVPs from last week (Arjun/Aiden) were firing on all cylinders! Arjun wanted all the TDs, running around the field for 3 long ones and holding down safety on D. Aiden came away with a pick, a pick 6 and a nice TD while crushing it on defense. Ayal had an incredible TD run, got a couple sacks as rusher and disrupted the NFC QB every chance he got. Oscar was living his best life at receiver, reeling in a few good passes with a great showing on D as well. The whole team came together and played amazingly today, all putting up MVP-caliber performances, so it was a tough decision this week. Congrats to Jonathan and Luke, fantastic game! Let’s go!!!

Giants come up big in week 3!

Despite not having Coach Lonnie running the sideline this week, the Giants played some fantastic ball! Ty was on point throwing bombs downfield, making good decisions and hitting his targets in stride. Oscar made some great goal line plays including a phenomenal diving extra point! Luke and Ayal took turns pressuring the Cowboys QBs getting in their face and forcing some plays with Luke making a clutch tackle at the end and Ayal took a sprint towards the end zone with the ball! Jonathan went screaming for some great runs early on, Charlie and Caden held down safety for us and Benjamin made some great catches, almost running one in for a TD. Congrats to our MVPs, Arjun and Aiden!
