JV football runs through Cougars

JV Patriots football team was victorious last Thursday 34-18. Davis Ott returned two punts for touchdowns and had two rushing touchdowns to lead the way. Johnnie Featherstone had a long touchdown run as well. Banks Swearingen and James McManus connected on a touchdown pass as the offense moved throughout the game. Defense swarmed the Cougars all afternoon and played physically all game long.

Patriots dominate Calvary Chapel

Patriots route Calvary Chapel 44-0 last Friday night. Aiden Vitale had two blocked punts and Johnnie Featherstone returned an interception for a touchdown as the Patriots shut down Calvary. The offense was efficient controlling the ball as many Patriots had touches on offense.

#9 Patriots victorious over #2 Lions

Patriots fell behind 22-8 in the first quarter then outscored the Lions 40-6 the rest of the game to defeat #2 Lakeside Christian 48-28 last Friday night. The offense put together a few long scoring drives late in the first half and opened the second half with a reverse to swing the momentum. The defense had numerous sacks and a scoop and score on a fumble recovery to pull away from the Lions. Very physical football game!

Patriots JV football team wins opener

Patriots JV football team held on for a 12-6 victory last Friday at Leisure Square. Big pass play from James McManus to Banks Swearingen gave the Patriots the lead in the second half. The defense had a few sacks and held the Lions from scoring in their final drive to seal the win!
