Warde cruises to record 17th win, capping off an amazing season

The only way to cap off a great season is with a great team win, which is what the Mustangs did on Wednesday night. Warde was hot early creating separation from the Westhill Vikings. Warde had balanced scoring showing why it was the dominant team in the FCIAC this season. Warde finished 17-2 on the season defeating teams by an average of 17 points per game. Congratulations to an outstanding season and I look forward to seeing more great things to come.

Warde completes the sweep, earning town bragging rights.

An early Saturday morning game was no issue as the Mustangs continue to do what they do best… Win! Ludlowe got hot early but Warde said not so fast and responded with big shots from Andrew Glad, Zach Magner, Matty Corrigan, Brady Takacs and Joe Fitzpatrick. In the 2nd half the Mustangs showed why they’re the best team in the FCIAC, defensive scoring led to a quick 20 point lead. Sterling Manigault was a force down low on both sides of the floor. The Mustangs finished the game with a huge block from Fitzpatrick sending the ball into orbit. Tyler Toll banked in a 3 late to solidify the 14th win of the year. Warde takes on Staples Monday looking for its 15th win of the year.

Warde Dominates throughout to get their 11th win of the season

Warde showed it is a dominant team on the defensive end of the floor, causing havoc for all 4 quarters. Warde got going early with strong play from Sterling Manigault, Joe Fitzpatrick and Luke Sardinha. Fitzpatrick showed off early with acrobatic finishes at the hoop and Sardinha couldn't miss from 3. The Mustangs have had a busy few weeks but have shown to be a dominant team in the FCIAC. Warde travels to Trumbull Friday night to take on a tough eagles team. Warde is now 11-1 on the season.

Warde battles back to stay undefeated!

In a back an forth game, the Mustangs outlast a talented Stamford team 64-62. Warde found themselves down by 7 early in the fourth quarter, but dug deep and found a way to pull out a tough win. Defensive pressure and rebounding on both sides of the court led to the Mustangs come from behind win. Warde had big offensive rebounding from Luke Sardinha late, to gain extra possessions and leading to big shots from Matty Corrigan, Joe Fitzpatrick and Andrew Shelov. Early on Zachary Magner contributed key points just as Stamford started to make their run. The Mustangs look to continue their successful season on Friday when the New Canaan Rams come to town.
