Tigers beat Burroughs Twice In Double Header

The South Pasadena Tigers held off Burroughs as an 8 run lead almost vanished in the sixth inning. Braydon Nakagawa went four innings allowing only one hit and zero runs. Nakagawa struck out five and walked zero batters. Tatum Mendoza, Jesse Li, Isaiah Esquivel, Anthony Ortiz, Nathan Raju and Liam Baum had one hit for the Tigers. Kai was on the mound for Burroughs and allowed three hits and five runs over three innings. The Burroughs pitchers hit five batters and walked five.

The SOUTH PASADENA Frosh/Soph Tigers could not hold off the Titans who scattered 10 hits during the morning game at San Marino. Evan Barreau, Nico Rettig, Anthony Ortiz, Beck Brenek and Hanson Chan each had one hit for the Tigers. Tate Mendoza had two RBI's and Evan Barreau one RBI for the Tigers.

South Pasadena Frosh/Soph Come Back Strong but Shy of the Victory

The South Pasadena Tigers fought a hard battle against a Temple City team that held off the Tigers in the last inning to clinch the victory 10 to 9. The Tigers had 11 hits: 4 hits from Anthony Ortiz including one double, 3 RBI's and one stolen base; 3 hits from Tatum Mendoza; 2 hits from Brayden Nakagawa including one double and 4 RBI's; and 1 hit from Beck Brenek who had 1 RBI. Isaiah Esquivel had 1 RBI on a base on balls. Hanson Chan pitched three innings with only 2 earned runs and 6 strike outs. Lomada pitched one inning with 1 earned run and 2 strike outs. Their next game is at San Marino on March 25 at 11AM.
