JSerra Catholic 6, Mater Dei 12
Girls Jr. Varsity Tennis
JSerra splits with Mater Dei, loses rematch 6-12.
Fountain Valley, CA — Not quite the same team we beat before (apparently MD moved 4-5 girls down from their large varsity roster to “help out” today) but that’s ok. So technically, we tied for 2nd in league, but had good enough efforts to get several JSerra players seeded in the Trinity League championships next week. There IS a rule against moving players down to (dominate) the JV tournament, so we should perform well next Tuesday.

JSerra Catholic 13, Orange Lutheran 5
Girls Jr. Varsity Tennis
JV beats OLu in 100• temp to remain in 2nd place
Anaheim, CA — Lutheran of Orange was missing a singles player, which gave our singles players 3 defaulted wins, but more importantly a rest in the heat. 🥵 MVP’s Anna Ciraci and Kylie Davidson both win 2 of 2 sets played; while Juliana “volleyball” Calo pushed their #1 player to 4-4 before falling 4-6, AFTER beating their #2 player 6-4. Great job today.

JSerra Catholic 17, Rosary 1
Girls Jr. Varsity Tennis
Lions defeat Rosary by identical score as before: 17-1.
Fullerton, CA — How do you win 17-1 when nobody loses a set? We ran out of time at Fullerton Tennis Center so we volunteered to “forfeit” the final singles set so we could all get on the ‘57’ and head back home. Rosary’s #1 player played two LONG matches vs Kylie (7-6) and then Anna (6-3)and it was already past 5pm before we could her 3rd set started.

JV lances the Lancers 12-6.
San Juan Capistrano, CA — Despite lending our top 2 players to Varsity today, our young JV team defeats Orange Lutheran 12-6 to remain tied for 2nd in Trinity League play.
