San Juan Capistrano, CA — Friday night the Varsity team faced their toughest battle of the season so far against the Los Alamitos Griffins. The Griffins came out strong on both sides of the field securing an early lead, locking down Lions offense in Q2 and breaking through the defensive line. Into the half, Lions were down 5-2.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Our Varsity Lions had a great win over visiting team Alta Hawks who came to (finally) sunny CA from snowy Sandy, Utah. It was a strong team effort tonight all over the field with an impressive 17 saves from #9 Neiger, 18 face off wins by #28 Walters, multiple turnovers on Alta forced by #2 S. Stephens and #29 Kitcher, and 23 ground ball recoveries across the roster. Points on the board by:

Santa Ana, CA — The Varsity boys opened Trinity League play today with a fantastic showing against Mater Dei. While they didn't come out with the win (10-14 final score), they fought hard, fought back when down and stayed in it the whole game against a tough opponent. Neiger was a force in goal with 13 saves and shout-outs to Referente, Almy, Seldow, M. Stephens, Fuller and Zimmer for putting points on the board. Bonus kudos for a great defensive line goal in the 3rd with a pass from S. Stephens to J. Zimmer and in!

Irvine, CA — Making memories! With pouring rain from warm ups through the final whistle the Lions came out with a solid 13-6 win over Beckman on Friday. Walters and Bittner did a fantastic job on faceoff, as well as A Clark becoming a force on the wing for them; winning 74% and opening up the field for offense. Both M Stephens and Referente put hat tricks on the board, with Almy, Seldow, Dauod, Kofoed, Sprague and Zimmer adding to the final of 13 goals. And hats off to Neiger in goal with 14 saves.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — The Varsity boys had a DOMINATE 18-4 win at home over Great Oak on Saturday. The entire team contributed to this victory with both Pearl and Cadieux sharing responsibilities in goal, and points across the roster with goals by Walker, Almy, M Stephens, Referente, Seldow, Dauod, Fuller and Bahlki. It was a great day on the field for the boys but MVPs might be our Team Manager Renee who is handling the stat book like a pro and parent volunteers who handled all the sideline and scoreboard needs! Next game is Friday, away at Beckman in Irvine.
