Sandy Hook, CT — Newtown Nighthawks Varsity fought back after falling down by six runs in the second inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 8-7 defeat to Notre Dame Catholic on Friday. Newtown Nighthawks Varsity scored seven runs in the failed comeback. Katie Goyda, Brianna Pellicone, Morgan Melillo, Goyda, and Melillo picked up RBIs to lead the rally.
