El Paso, TX — The Rangers came into the night with a very explosive offense. The Cats came into the night with a very stingy defense. The Cats had a hard time moving the ball early in the game and found themselves trailing the Rangers.

Pecos, TX — The Fabens Wildcats came out strong against the Pecos Eagles! Firing on all cylinders they marched down the field on 5 plays for 49 yards. After an apparent TD was called short and the following two plays the Wildcats were penalized and the drive stalled. Later in the second quarter the Wildcats cut the lead to 7-6 after a great drive capped off by a Miguel Delgado rushing touchdown. But after 3 turnovers in 4 plays on offense the Wildcats found themselves trailing 31-6 at halftime.

El Paso, TX — The Fabens Wildcats had a great showing in their first scrimmage of the season. Both sub-varsity and varsity levels made big plays. Both levels ran the ball well and consistently. The rain was not going to slow down or stop the Cats. Facing two different large 5A schools will prepare these Cats for their non-district schedule! With a lot of youth on the team they will continue to get better each week. The Senior leadership on the varsity was key. Seniors Miguel Delgado, Alan Sierra, Drew Belshe, Derreck Navar, Matthew Gonzalez, JC Rodriguez, Lyonel Rodriguez led by great example. Its going to be an exciting season for our Wildcats!
