Senior forward Katie Rowan put it all together in a 1-0 Newtown victory over Pomperaug. Rowan consistently created scoring chances for herself and her teammates. Her improved communication and desire to involve others, forced the defense to focus on her.

Rowan added an insurance goal that proved to be the difference. The goal, from 20 yards out, was among the best we have seen in a while. Rowan also kept ta strong Immaculate defense busy with her deep runs into the offensive third and her constant defensive pressure.
