Norton Shores, MI — Freshman boys win their second game of 2022 beating Grand Rapids Union 52-28. After a lopsided first quarter (15-0), the Sailors maintained a comfortable lead throughout all 4 quarters as Union tried to fight back. Jaeger Johnson led the way on the offensive end scoring 13 points which included 3 3pt baskets. Ezra Carefelle was another standout offensively scoring 9 points and added a handful of assists. This was a great team defensive game as the boys had over 10 steals and forced 6 more turnovers.

Grand Rapids , MI — Freshman boys lost in a low scoring, defensive battle against Allendale in the championship game of the Cornerstone Tournament. While the Sailors struggled on the offensive end they managed to keep the game close with a great effort on the defensive end. As a team, they tallied 13 steals, 4 blocks and caused 7 more turnovers. Being down 6 at halftime, the Sailors managed to tie the game 25-25 with just under 2 minutes left. After a few possessions with no scores Allendale made a 3 point basket that put the game away. Jaeger Johnson led all scorers with 9 points.
