Altoona, PA — Matthew DuBois pitched a 6 inning gem with 12 strikeouts and zero runs given up. Matthew carved into Altoona's Johnston Reality from inning 1 and Nick Jacobs came in for the last inning to close it out with two strikeouts of his own. At the plate for the Barons Caleb Lehman blasted the Barons first home run of the season and Nick Jacobs hit a triple and a double. Caleb also lead the way with 2 RBI's followed by Gabe Yanssens, Brady Hansen, and Ethan Bintrim with one RBI a piece. Great teamwork defensively with big plays made by Nathan Meeks and Frank DeLuca to keep the score zero and all runners at bay. New Castle, PA — The Barons hosted the B2 Bulls in a non-conference game at home this evening and gave the hometown crowd a show by walking it off in the bottom of the 7th inning. Matt Dubois started on the mound for the Barons and only allowed 2 runs early in the game. Matt tossed 4 complete innings to keep the Barons within striking distance. Brett Bobin came in to pitch during the 5th inning from 3rd base with the bases loaded and with a 3 pitch inning got out of it with no blood. Bobin threw 2 complete innings to keep the Barons in the game. In the bottom of the 6th pinch hitter Gabe Yanssens pulled through with a big hit that was the spark for the Barons to capture 1 run off Nathen Meeks broken bat ground ball and to cut the lead in half. Benny Dottle came in the 7th inning and closed out the Bulls to give the Barons a chance in the bottom of the 7th. Shane Cato hit a huge double to start the bottom of the 7th, followed by a Chase Tomko off the wall double, Anthony Ryan and Frankie DeLuca had huge walks, and finally Benny Dottle came up with the bases loaded and hit a hard ground ball past the shortstop to score Tomko for the win! Great team victory again for the Barons! The Barons head to Altoona Saturday for a double header against Johnston Reality.

Youngstown, OH — The 3B Barons entered Youngstown for the second time in two weeks and exited with a second win. The Barons bats showed up early and battled throughout the entire contest. The Barons offense was lead today by Benny Dottle and Robert Herr both having a three hit game followed by Nick Jacobs, Anthony Ryan, Caelan Bender and Gabe Yansssens with two hits a piece. All five batters accounted for 9 RBI's. The Barons utilized the entire staff in Youngstown starting with Logan Ayres, Matt DuBois, Brett Bobin, Nick Jacobs and finished with Ethan Bintrim. The Barons, again, showed a complete team victory and are 4 - 2 in their last six contest before entering their home opener, June 25th, against the top rated Butler Iron Bucks.
