Ventura, CA — Buena faced rival Ventura in a cross town rival that no matter the teams record, it’ll be a close one. Coming off a week of great preparation the bulldogs were full of confidence. Christian Quezada returned a kickoff return back for a touchdown in the first half. Buenas defense tightened up in the second half with Ventura pushing & mashing the ball. Blake Eberhard threw a long touchdown pass to Dhylon Sanchez in the 4th quarter to make it 22-13. Ventura soon answered back and made it 22-20 late in the 4th quarter. Buena eventually blocked a potential game wining field goal for the win with 15 seconds left on the clock to secure the victory.

Oxnard, CA — The Buena Bulldogs faced a very tough opponent in Rio Mesa, it was an extremely physical and long lasting game. Buena fought back in the first half to come from a 14-0 deficit and pulled within 1 point at the end of the half to make it 28-27. The second half was a close mirror image of the second quarter and was score for score until Buena made a couple too many mistakes for Rio to pull ahead and take over the game. Jaxson Roberts, Blake Eberhard, Zach Harris, Christian Quezada, Nathan Swaim all played well on both offense and defense.

Oxnard, CA — The Bulldogs visited league opponent Oxnard Yellowjackets. The opening kickoff was returned for a touchdown by Jaxson Roberts for his second time this season. Jaxson also led the ground game for Buena and added a couple more touchdowns as the game moved on. Both quarterbacks Zach Harris and Blake Eberhard managed the game very well and threw the ball extremely well. Phoenix Cuenca had a breakout game at WR with a pair of catches of 20+ yards and 1 receiving touchdown. Defensively, it wasn't the prettiest but when the Bulldogs needed a stop they rose to the occasion. Creating turnovers help the offense turn them into points which ended up being a major factor to Buena's victory. Julian Orozco had an interception and Tyler Jaitt had a forced fumble.

Ventura, CA — The Bulldogs had a great week of practice leading into gameday against visiting San Marcos. Buena was moving the ball very well in the first half on offense. Jaxson Roberts led the rushing attack and took off for an 80 yard touchdown run in the 2nd half. Special Teams helped out again this week with field position. Punter Tyler Jaitt had a great kicking game and the Buena defense had a blocked punt by Lawrence Gutierrez. It was an exciting and suspenseful game but the bulldogs prevailed.

Ventura, CA — The Bulldogs took on league opponent Channel Islands Raiders at home for the 4th straight home game. Dhylon Sanchez took the opening kickoff return back for a touchdown to start of the game and from there the Bulldogs took charge. Later Jaxson Roberts returned the next kick return back for a touchdown. Defense was stingy all game & gave up one score late in the 3rd quarter.Offense moved the ball at will with a Qb rotation consisting of Blake Eberhard & Zach Harris.

Ventura, CA — Buena JV faced a very tough & athletic Pacifica team. Working from behind & chasing points all game the offense & defense battled back in the second half to play the football of the night. Dhylon Sanchez had the only score of the night with a kick return for a touchdown.

Ventura, CA — The Bulldogs entered league play against the Dos Pueblos Chargers at home with the intent of starting league play 1-0. Offense started off hot with an opening drive touchdown run by running back Jaxson Roberts. The playbook for the Bulldogs from that point on was wide open as the offense controlled the line of scrimmage for the rest of the game. Offensive line played extremely well from beginning to end. Andrew Silva, Logan Madrid, Danny Antinico, Jason Valadez and Lawrence Gutierrez. Defense backed up the offense all night as they created 4 turnovers (3 INT's & 1 forced fumbe). Michael Leslie had 2 interceptions, Joseph Magdeleno had 1 INT & Dhylon had a massive hit that forced the fumble.

Ventura, CA — The Buena Bulldogs took on a tough Quartz Hill team. With a slow start by the offense and defense the Bulldogs kicked into gear near the middle of the 2nd quarter. QB Blake Eberhard led the offense through the air and running backs Jaxson Roberts and Dhylon Sanchez ran hard on the Bulldog ground attack. Defense tightened things up to make it difficult for the Quartz Hill offense in the second half. Dominic Da Silva came up with the first interception of the season for the defense. Defensive line played well and safeties Rey Jimenez and Tyler Jaiit played extremely well. Buena 24 Quartz Hill 32 final

Goleta, CA — A defensive battle...The Buena Bulldogs' first away game ends in 7 - 7 a tie with Dos Pueblos. A great pass and catch from QB Blake Eberhard to TE Jaden Byars set up the short yardage run for Carson Hofferbert to put 6 on the board for the Bulldogs. Followed up by a smooth PAT from Tyler Jaitt. A swarming defense and solid tackles from CB Christian Quezada and LB Wyatt Bellanger, among others, kept the Bulldogs in front until a late 4th quarter sideline pass led to a Chargers' score. Their PAT tied it up and left just enough time for a final dramatic Bulldog drive. Drew Baker hauled in a nice pass to help get close to the End Zone, however, time expired before Buena could punch in the go-ahead score.

Ventura, CA — The Buena Bulldogs offensive line (Madrid, Antonico, Silva, Padilla, Gutierrez) came out firing and opened up space for back Dhylon Sanchez to grab a 12 yard run to start the game. With strong work on both sides of the ball at Line Backer and Running Back and a Kickoff return for a Touchdown, Carson Hofferbert picks up Player of the Game. Bulldog Defense was hustling, however, Pacifica's offense put a few too many points on the board and took the win handing Buena their second loss of the season.

Ventura, CA — The Freshman opened at home against a physical Moorpark team. Although the Dawgs came out on the short end of the scoreboard several athletes got there first ever game action.the team was led offensively and defensively by Dhylon Sanchez and Nathan Swaim.
