San Juan Capistrano, CA — San Clemente has a very strong team, we have only beat them twice in 17 years. Today wasn’t a perfect ending to the 2024 season, but it was a a good day for tennis.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — All smiles today as JSerra JV/Prep avenges and early season loss at Crean Lutheran with a 10-8 home victory! In this all-doubles format, JSerra swept 8 of 9 matches at lines 1 through 3 while picking up the extra 2 victories in lines 4 through 6. The initial match, earlier in September, went to the Saints 4-14, so this was a HUUGE upset win by the Lions!

Fountain Valley, CA — Very proud of how our ladies - the GOLD Squad - represented themselves and JSerra Catholic High School this afternoon. They competed hard, were great sports and were very cordial with the Fountain Valley players. It’s important for us coaches to have the girls present themselves well at the public schools and you all rocked it today - so thank you!

San Juan Capistrano, CA — The OC turned into the “Mosquito Coast” this weekend as JV Prep lost all 3 matches by the identical scores of 6-12. (Ha! Ha! … a dad joke that only your grandparents would appreciate……the “go to” mosquito repellent in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s was a product simply named “6-12”.

San Clemente, CA — JV Prep (crimson squad) looked good rocking PINK outfits in honor of breast cancer awareness month, played well, but still came up a bit short, 6-12. 2 tie-breaker losses turned to wins would have been 8-10, so it was closer than score suggests.

Mission Viejo, CA — Capo’s head coach Alan Ho and FS Coach Sue usually like to play all doubles at their place, so this match format gave everybody a chance to play 3 full sets. We had a few no shows but fortunately ended up with 12, the bare minimum to play all doubles.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Despite the lopsided match score, there was a lot of good tennis this afternoon, in this all doubles format. Many of the sets were 6-3 or 6-4, with a lot of “no ad, sudden death points.”

Huntington Beach, CA — This “mini-match” is actually the first win of the season for our JV Prep / FS team this season. We probably would have won a couple of the heat related cancellations, however, it made today’s dual match wins and tournament championship even that much sweeter.
