The bears ended the first quarter down 10-11 but entered halftime down by 10. Maddie Lepley’s steal and bucket at the end of the third quarter cut the AW lead to 4 points and sparked a huge second half comeback for Jackson. The bears went on to outscore AW 19-10 in the fourth quarter. Ashley Helle drew a charge on AW’s miss basketball candidate with 45 seconds remaining to regain possession up 50-48. Megan and Maddie then sealed the game at the line!!!

The bears held a 23-16 halftime lead and weathered a hot shooting three point third quarter from the Smithies. The game was all tied up at 28-28 to start the fourth quarter. The bears then went on a 10-0 run and eventually closed out the game to secure their first win of the season.
