Santa Ana, CA — The Vanguards and The Knights tie 36-36. But, ELMO wins on criteria D to improve to 2-0 in league. Next dual is against Canyon HS!!

Brea, CA — The Vanguards advance 4 to day 2 of the Brea Olinda tournament. Bobby Tobias and Mark Boudreau lose close matches in the consolation bracket. Jonathan Sanchez finished 7th over Servite. Jack Simons finished 3rd overall with a pin against Aliso Niguel, after losing a close match with 5th ranked CA wrestler from Valencia.

Huntington Beach , CA — Another great tournament and first individual tournament for the varsity squad.

Orange, CA — ELMO 33 Yorba Linda 45

Anaheim, CA — Vanguards go 2-0 against Irvine and Capo Valley.

Costa Mesa, CA — Still only angle to fill 10/14 weight classes ELMO finished 12 out of 36 teams on Saturday. Jaden Sanders, Jack Samul, and Logan Carrera finish the tournament with medals. Junior Jason Nelson advanced to the quarter finals and was one match away from placing.

Mission Viejo, CA — Our frosh team starts the season 1-1. In their first dual the team started out well with a win over Cypress, it wasn’t until the upper weight classes did ELMO start to fall against Aliso. Giving up 24 points to both Cypress and Aliso. Kevin Enriquez, Cash Landreth and Evan Fowler all finished the day undefeated at 2-0.

Orange, CA — ELMO beat Highland HS 64-16 to advance to the CIF semi-finals on Tuesday 6/1 against Sonora HS.

Orange, CA — After the most recent seeding meeting, ELMO was given the 4th seed out of 10 schools and received a Bye in the first round of competition.

Orange, CA — ELMO wins 43-24!!! In the final scheduled dual of the season ELMO secures their 3rd win over the Beckman Patriots in as many years. Senior day was great. Thank you to Sherrie Nelson, Angelique Sanders, Stacy Gardner, Robyn Simons and anyone else who helped to make the day special for our seniors. We’re very fortunate to have the support we do from our parents and our community!! Let’s keep the momentum up and finish out the season as we move into CIF playoffs in the next couple of weeks! Placentia, CA — The Vanguards wrestled well on Wednesday. Wins by Kam Gardner, Randy Soto, Eddie Irwin, Eli Solis, Sal Munoz, Jack Simons, Diego Zapien and Joel Alejandre got ELMO their second league title in as many years. Back-to-back North Hills league champions. Great job by everyone at the dual.

Orange, CA — ELMOs second loss of the season. Corona Centennial brought three state ranked wrestlers from honorable mention to 23rd. The boys wrestled tough with wins at 113, 132, 152, 170, and 220. Joel Alejandre wrestled 23rd ranked HWT and lost a tight match 1-0. The lower level boys did their job and won all of their matches against the Huskies. The future is bright for the Vanguards.

Yorba Linda , CA — Junior Varsity: J. Snyder loses a close one in his first match (3-6) J. Samul wins by injury default (12-3) and C. Smith wins (10-0).

Lakewood, CA — ELMO falls in the first round to the 6th seed, Camarillo High School. 21-45 The boys wrestled hard all year and finishing the year 9-9 and North Hills League Champions!! Great job Vanguards.

Brea, CA — Brea as always turns out a tough team. El Modena wins this seasons contest 39-33, in the first league match of the season. Event MVPs go to Brad Morton at the lower level and Sal Munoz for varsity. Next match is 1/15 at ELMO as the Vanguards look to win their first team league title since 2013.
