Palmdale, CA — It was an epic rematch against the Cruzers' nemesis, El Rio. Remember, the Cruzers lost to El Rio at the WAGS tournament, due to a lot of errors on our part. Needless to say, we WANTED to win. Badly.

Palmdale, CA — 92 degrees at 8 am? Doesn't stop the Cruzers! Game 1 against Downey started off with an epic battle between #13 Gallegos pitching to Downey's 3rd batter. It must have been at least 10 foul balls! It ended with a walk, however we rallied back and got the outs. Then, #22 hit a beauty, grounder between short and 2nd, resulting in a double. That momentum carried us through to the end, winning 3-1. Way to go, girls!

San Marcos, CA — What a game! The mounting anxiety all week was palpable in the stands as Escondido gold took the field to start this game. Esco has a good record of beating San Marcos. But NUH-uh! Not today!!! In innings 1 & 2, the Cruzers showed Esco that we came to WIN, scoring 7! It was 7-0, with #8 Arce pitching. Then, Esco realized their girls weren't hitting bombs, and began bunting instead. The Cruzers battled, but Esco was able to tie the game, 7-7.

San Marcos, CA — Cruzers played Escondido's Silver team, and started strong with a 4-0 lead. #1 Amaya had some awesome plays at center field, catching 2 pop flys to stop Escondido from scoring. #13 Gallegos and #77 Mendez make a great duo for pitching and catching! #19 Fleck had some great plays at short! #8 Arce hit a bomb to right field, all the way to the fences, getting 2 runs. Great game girls! Next game is 10 a.m tomorrow (Sunday, 6/25).

Poway, CA — Championship game started at 4:20 p.m., and boy what a game it was! East County was an awesome opponent, throwing some heat from their pitcher. But our girls battled back, and scored early on. #24 Ava Bynes had a beautiful sacrificial bunt, as did #1 Destinee Amaya, which set up our girls to cross home plate. #8 Savanna Arce pitched to #77 Bella Mendez, and East

Poway, CA — Man, the Cruzers are on a roll! It was another hot day, where the shade was scarce and the heat wilted everything! Everything except the Cruzers!!

Poway, CA — Picture this: it was a brutally hot day, with annoying gnats circling around. The girls were up to bat first, and we start of swinging! Poway was not prepared for our arrival! We were kicking a** and taking names!

Santee, CA — Beautiful sunny Sunday makes for some great softball games in the Bring on the Heat tournament in Santee, CA! The showdown between Santee and San Marcos started out in Santee's favor with some early hits and a few runs scored. Cruzers scored 1, bring the score to 6-1, Santee. The middle innings were shutdowns for the Cruzers, with only 1 more run.

Santee, CA — Fullerton Hills came to win, but the Cruzers were able to pull out the win at the VERY end! A couple of errors allowed Fullerton hills to score 1 run. But, #8 Arce and #77 make an awesome duo and kept Fullerton Hills from hitting. #8 Arce's pitching, and #77 Mendez's framing were a beautiful thing to watch! Cruzers were home, and in the last minute of the game we were able to score 2 runs to pull off the win! A nail biter until the end! Way to go girls!

Santee, CA — The second game of the day was a battle! Cruzers were able to score early on, and hold Fullerton Hills at 0. #8 Savanna Arce hit her corners of the plate, resulting in strikeout after strikeout. Cruzers' defense allowed only 1 run late in the game. Winning this game put the Cruzers in the 2 seed spot. Only 1 game stands between the Cruzers and 1st Place!
