In the game that mattered most, the Sequoia Ravens delivered a full 32-minute effort to earn a huge PAL Ocean league win over the Woodside Wildcats, 35-25.
The Ravens put on a defensive clinic, holding Jefferson to single digits in every quarter and securing a dominant 38-17 win.
It was a tale of two halves. The Ravens found themselves down at halftime 13-35. In the 3rd and 4th quarters, it was all Sequoia as they outscored Burlingame 24-13. Sequoia closed the gap with their pressing defense to as close as 6 points, but could never close the gap from the 1st half. Guard Olivia Macuga (SO) scored 10 points to go along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Guard and captain Ally Petit (JR) knocked 3 three-pointers, to finish with 9 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
Sequoia Girls Varsity set the tone from the tip to defeat the Oceana Sharks 57-19. Sophomore guard Olivia Macuga finished the game with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Ravens secured 32 offensive rebounds and had a season-high 21 assists. Junior guard and captain Ally Petit dished out 6 assists to go along with her 3 three pointers. Every Raven logged minutes in a total team effort win vs Oceana.
