First of all, on behalf of the coaching staff and the team, thank you parents for donating all the snacks to the team for this track meet. Most kids were able to enjoy the snacks that have been provided by YOU. Please continue to donate snacks for the following week. It makes a big difference for the athletes... As for the race, the Boys Varsity bounced back from a defeat to Monroe last week and were ready to compete against Poly and North Hollywood this week. The Girls Varsity team remain undefeated going into our last week of season. And the boys frosh/soph are developing and eager to earn a spot in Varsity. All levels were victorious today and looking forward to next week. We had some familiar faces surprise the team today as well. Coaching representatives from 1970 to the present were at today's meet. Thats over 50 years of coaching on the field today. It is always great to see alumni stop by and support the team. Our Track and Field program will remain strong with the support of the parents, athletes, school admin, teachers, alumni, and former coaches.
Last week was full or Personal Records. It was a PR race for about 80% of the team. Its great to see the athletes excel and reach for their personal goals. The Boys Varsity and Frosh/Soph teams won their race and so did the Varsity Girls team. It was a sweep for all our levels. This doesn't always happen so let's celebrate our accomplishment and get ready for the next race. Let's keep representing the school well. Victory with Honor
