Warwick Recap

We are very proud of the boys and how they played their hearts out Friday night to beat a good Warwick football team. They showed what we are capable of doing when all facets of the game: Special Teams, Offense, Defense and the Sideline come together and execute the game plan. It was also great to see our offense hold onto the ball and our defense get three interceptions. This shows that when two evenly matched teams come together and play, turnovers and penalties usually determine the outcome of the game.

Manheim Central Recap

The 42-0 lose to Manheim Central is a difficult pill to swallow. Not to take anything away from a very good Manheim Central football team, but we just did not execute on offense the entire night. Being the offensive coach, I take full responsibility for our failure to move the ball, get first downs, and score. Defense played a good game through half, holding a potent offense to just 13 points. They did an excellent job forcing three Manheim Central turnovers in the first half.

Lebanon Game Recap

The team came out Friday night and did exactly what we talked about all week. Execute the game plan and plays, get up on them quickly, and keep the pedal down. They did just that. The defense did an excellent job shutting down and shutting out Lebanon. Our special teams did good with field position, however, was disappointed that we missed two extra points. Not making excuses, but the field was not in the greatest of shapes. Offensively, we had a great performance from a number of kids that had the opportunity to carry the ball and score.

Conestoga Valley Recap

The Conestoga Valley lose is a disappointing league game lose. Unfortunately, the four offensive turnovers lead to that demise, along with two special teams scores against us. Pretty difficult for any team to recover from! On the bright side, our Defense did play a very good game. That is something we can build on, as well as the senior leadership on this team. The kids are doing a great job sticking together, regrouping, and coming out hungry to practice hard and win the next game.
