Placentia, CA — The Hawks got an early touchdown after a Valencia turnover. Jack Strouse found running back Chris Hurtl for a 10 yard score. El Dorado's defense got a big stop on the next possession when Camaren Sweet sacked Valencia quarterback Zackary Charles on fourth down deep in Hawks territory.

Santa Ana, CA — El Dorado scored one run in the top of the first and two more in the third. Camaren Sweet led off the third inning with a triple and scored on a ground ball by Caleb Zubas. Foothill came back and scored one in the second and two in the third to tie it up.

Anaheim, CA — The Hawks scored 3 runs in the top of the first off the Esperanza ace. Caleb Zubas led off with a bunt single and stole second and third. With two outs Michael Jeanblanc singled to left to drive in the first run. Nick Woznichak doubled to left center. Nate Yount followed up with an single.

Orange, CA — El Dorado scored four runs in the top of the first inning with hits from Caleb Zubas and Michael JeanBlanc. El Dorado added two more runs in the top of the second. El Modena chipped away and pushed across four runs to cut the lead to 6-4.

Placentia, CA — The Hawks battled all game in a back and forth affair with Bingham High School from Utah. Trailing 9-6 in the bottom of the 7th Camaren Sweet got a base hit and Nick Yoshioka who had 3 hits on the day, lined a double to left field. Shaun Turner then walked on a 3-2 count loading the bases. Spencer Vossman squeeze bunted towards third and 2 runs scored. Michael Jeanblanc who had a triple and two RBIs in the previous inning walked loading the bases for the Hawks. Nate Yount hit a hard grounder to second and the throw to 2nd for the force was late. With the score tied 9-9 and 1 out, Cameron Kjorness bunted towards third and the Bingham third baseman was unable to make the the play allowing the winning run to score. The Hawks are now 4-8 on the season and start the second round of league on 4-19-17 against El Modena.
