Santa Ana, CA — It took an outstanding team effort to beat the visiting Vanguards, but it was three freshmen that provided the offense that propelled the Lady Knights to victory. After Justine Boyle led the 4th inning off with a walk, she advanced on a wild pitch. Mikayla Prudholme knocked her in to get the Knights on the board. Sam Polowski was hit by a pitch and Emma Paul came up with runners at first and second with two outs. Emma drove the ball to deep right center field and scored both runners. Arissa Calvillo followed with another hard hit ball to right field, scoring Riley Osborn, who had come in to run.

Santa Ana, CA — For five innings, it looked as if the Lady Knights were going to get revenge in the second match up of the season with the Spartans of Villa Park. Lalli Lopez pitched 5 strong innings and the Lady Knights held a 1-0 lead for 4 innings. Makenzie Boston smacked a hard line drive to right field, scoring Justing Boyle from second base to take an early lead. However, in the 6th inning, VP was able to grab the lead after stringing together 3 hits and a walk. In the 7th inning VP rallied to add to their lead, and the Knights went down in order in the bottom of the 7th.

Yorba Linda, CA — For 6 innings that Lady Knights kept the game close and gave themselves chances to pull out a win. The Mustangs struck first with a two run home run in the third. While the Lady Knights were able to put pressure on Yorba Linda in several innings, the strike out hurt our chances, eleven in total. In the end, it was a soft line drive that found the outfield that plated two runs that put the game out of reach. Justine Boyle led off the top of the 7th inning with a blast over the left field fence. Following the home run, the Knights were able to get runners to 2nd and 3rd base, but the Knights weren't able to get the runners home.

Placentia, CA — The Lady Knights struggled at the plate for six innings, but Lalli Lopez was able to battle, keeping the El Dorado hitters off balance, and giving the Knights a chance to win the game.

Santa Ana, CA — The Lady Knights pulled out another close game. Outstanding defense was the key to winning the tight battle. Arissa Calvillo had the first great play of the game, throwing out a runner at the plate from short left field. Justine Boyle threw a runner out at the plate and made two more diving plays at the hot corner. Emma Paul threw two runners out at third, ending Brea rallies in the 5th and the 7th.

Anaheim, CA — After jumping to a 4 run lead against Claremont High School's number 2 pitcher, the Lady Knights weren't able to keep the lead. A combination of errors and bloop hits allowed the Wolfpack to come back and then rely on their number 1 pitcher to keep the Lady Knights at bay. As has been the case in many of Foothill's games this year, the Lady Knights were able to get base runners on and put pressure on their opponent, but failed to get the big hit when it was most needed. While it was another 1 run loss, it is clear that the Lady Knights are moving in the right direction in competing against very good pitching. The highlight of the day was again the performance of Sarah Bubier. In 8 plate appearances in the two games played on this Saturday, Sarah reached base all 8 times.

Anaheim, CA — In an effort to get back to .500, the Lady Knights couldn't put together a winning effort. Covina High School put together their best game of their year, hitting the ball hard every inning and never allowing the Lady Knights to assert themselves.

Anaheim, CA — The Lady Knights got off to a slow start, but when the bats finally woke up, it became a fireworks show. Sarah Bubier and Mikayla Prudholme seemed to be running around the bases every inning. Mak Boston hit the ball hard three times, and Justine Boyle hit her second home run of the season. Lalli Lopez threw 4 innings of no-hit ball before giving up a solid single in the 5th. Miranda Steinberg came in for her first pitching appearance of the season.

Huntington Beach, CA — While the score reflected a one sided game, that was never the case. With a starting line-up that included 4 freshmen, and just 2 seniors, the Lady Knights showed that, while a work in progress, there is plenty to be excited about. Mikayla Prudholme showed that she is going to be a force at the plate, and Sam Polowski continued to play at an all-league level.

Bullhead City, AZ — As the tournament came to a close, the Lady Knights were looking to finish on a high note, but dropped their third game in the tournament by one run. Again the Lady Knights put runners on base, but couldn't get the timely hit needed to get a lead. The game was highlighted by the fact that 6 freshmen were able to contribute during the game, showing that the Knights have a bright future ahead.

Bullhead City, AZ — While the Knights were able to put plenty of base runners on, finding the ability to push across runs never came. In a disappointing performance, the Lady Knights left 9 base runners on and had 8 fly ball outs. The highlight of the game was Justine Boyle's bomb, which cleared the left field fence by 30 feet.

Bullhead City, AZ — After getting out to a quick start and jumping ahead of Milliken High School of Long Beach, the Lady Knights were unable to get much going as the game went on. While the Knights were able to get base runners on in every inning, a lack of timely hitting allowed Milliken to get ahead and continue to string hits together to get the win.

Bullhead City, AZ — The Lady Knights dropped their first game of the season to Roosevelt of Eastvale California. The Lady Knights jumped out early to a 2-0 lead. The two teams battled back and fourth over 5 innings. The Mustangs were able to capture the lead as the time limit expired, handing Foothill their first defeat of the 2018 season. Sarah Bubier did provide some excitement when she hit a towering home run, which brought the parents to their feet with enthusiasm.

Bullhead City, AZ — The Lady Knights opened the Tournament of Champions tournament in Bullhead City AZ by beating the host school, Mohave Thunderbirds, 4-3. The Knights jumped out in front when Sam Polowski hit a two run home run in the third inning. Marissa Mazurie pitched four strong innings giving up three runs on five hits. The Knights were able to scratch out 2 runs in the 5th by playing small ball. Sarah Bubier and Mikayla Prudholme scored to give Foothill the lead. Stella Turner came in and pitched two innings to shut the Thunderbirds to hold on for the win.

Anaheim, CA — Stella Turner was dominate in the circle for six innings and Arissa Calvillo ended the game with a bang by hitting a two run home run give the Lady Knights the win by mercy rule. The Lady Knights showed their grit in the first inning, by getting out of a bases loaded jam. Sarah Bubier and Mikayla Prudholme continued to be a force at the plate, as they reached base in every at-bat.

Mission Viejo, CA — With only two starters returning from last years squad, and four freshmen in the line up for the first game of the 2018 season, nerves and uncertainty could have gotten the best of the Lady Knights. This was not the case, as senior leadership, team chemistry, and talent helped pave the way to a big win against the Capistrano Valley Cougars.
