With the score tied 0–0 in the first period, Hamden was awarded a penalty stroke — but goalie Scarlet Riccitelli came up big with a great kick save to keep the game even, one of 23 saves on the night!

Shelton defeats Masuk for first win
Monroe, CT — Shelton field hockey notched their first win of the season with a win versus Masuk by a score of 4 to 2. The Gaelettes were led on defense by excellent goaltending from Scarlet Riccitelli and defenders Megan Renda, Maddie Mosher, Ryan Minder and Mel Kozlowski. Abby Park had two goals, Tori Silva and Lila Kieley had one piece. It was Kiely‘s first varsity goal. The girls will be home on Tuesday hosting Branford at 7 PM.
