San Gabriel, CA — The South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers were too much for the Gabrielino Eagles on Monday, April 4, dominating them by a score of 16-0. Pitcher Benjamin Regan pitched a complete game no-hitter, striking out 11 and facing only one batter over the minimum. The walk given up to the first batter of the game was the only thing keeping Regan from a perfect game.

Tigers Lose in Back-and-Forth Game
South Pasadena, CA — South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers lost a close game 6-5 on Friday at home against Temple City. Each team scored one run in the early innings as Gabe Vogel kept command on the hill, striking out seven. In the top of the sixth, the Rams scored three runs to put them on top 4-1. In the bottom of the frame the Tigers put together an offensive barrage, with singles by Leo Castillo and Nathan Olivarez. and doubles by Carlo Williams and Eli Hall. When the inning was over, the Tigers had regained the lead 5-4.

San Marino, CA — In a lively league game, the South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers fought back after falling behind by five runs to San Marino on Tuesday. With runs in every inning from the 4th on, the Tigers chipped away at the lead with hits from Griffin Johnson, Gabe Vogel, Jude Felix, Owen Woodworth, Tyler Vargas, and Dylan Liu. When the dust settled, South Pasadena found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-4 score.

Carlo Williams was dominant over 6 innings, mixing his pitches and keeping the Cathedral batters off balance. Williams gave up no runs and struck out 3. Pitcher Benjamin Regan closed the door on the Tigers’ opponents, aided by sharp defense and a pickoff of a runner at first.

The Umpire then had to follow baseball protocol and stop the game until the sky cleared. Instead, San Gabriel Valley received rain and hail ending the game.

Lopsided Victory Starts off JV Tigers Season, Woodworth Dominates on the Mound
El Monte, CA — Season Opening Game for the South Pasadena Tiger JV squad had all aspects of the game operating well against Mountain View High School Junior Varsity Team. The offensive power lead by Carlo Williams, Griffin Johnson, Leo Castillo, Jude Felix, and Ben Regan each having multiple hits provided the team with 26 RBIs in only 3 innings. Multiple errors and walks were committed by Mountain View Vikings giving up 22 runs in the first inning.
