Oh What A (SENIOR) Night! On To CCS...

Prior to the game vs El Camino, Sequoia Girls Basketball celebrated 7 Seniors (6 players and 1 manager): Teresa Alvarez, Mikayla Gee, Jenna Sichlinger, Blessing Taimani, Grace Johnson, Josie Ollmann, and Grace Viscarra. The Senior Night Ceremony was filled lots of hugs, gifts, smiles, and memories made.

Sequoia Wins 3OT Thriller

The Lady Ravens welcomed local middle school youth to cheer them on at our 1st Youth Night. The night was kicked off by JV Girls Basketball players- Ally Petit and Kaitlyn Schernig (Fr)- singing the National Anthem.

Sequoia Sweeps Jefferson

Sequoia Varsity defeated Jefferson for the 2nd time this season. Although a great defensive showing in the 1st half, Sequoia narrowly led 13-12. In the 2nd half, Sequoia outscored Jefferson 26-14 while continuing their defensive dominance. The Ravens forced 26 turnovers and held the Grizzlies to 11/41 on field goals. Sequoia racked up 27 offensive rebounds and 20 defensive rebounds with Desi Huffer accounting for 7 offensive rebounds and Grace Johnson grabbing 4 defensive rebounds. Mikayla Gee stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 7 rebs, 10 steals, 6 deflections, and 2 assists.

Sequoia Shares Claim of Ocean Division

With Friday's 32-29 win versus the visiting Westmoor Rams, the Sequoia Varsity Girls split the season series with Westmoor and are tied for 1st in the PAL Ocean Division. Sequoia had another connected defensive effort, forcing Westmoor into 19 turnovers and finishing nearly 80% of possessions with a defensive rebound. Junior Jada Crockett had a well-rounded scoring night, finishing with 4 field goals, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. A quartet of Senior forwards Mikayla Gee, Jenna Sichlinger, Josie Ollmann, and Grace Johnson wrecked havoc with a combined 15 deflections, 12 steals, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
