Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — On 2nd day of Trinity League “Individual” Tournament (doubles included, just means it’s not a team event) all of our girls held heads high and represented our school well.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — In review of the MVP notes, one might think that my “typewriter keys got stuck” or I messed up copy, cutting and pasting (in more modern terms) …. not the case, regarding the use of the word “undefeated.”

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Orange Lutheran showed up a bit short-handed this afternoon and had to forfeit 3 sets of singles. Even with the extra set of rest for our singles players, nobody was able to upset their top player, who only lost 3 games in 3 sets. That was the only 3 sets the Lancers won, as the Lady Lions swept all doubles: 9 sets to zero. MVP honors go out to all our doubles players for making the 100% club today!

Fullerton, CA — We’re getting better! After winning 12-6 in our first match, (getting 3 free sets from a short-handed Rosary team) we won 13-5 after giving up 4 free sets this afternoon, going up to Fullerton Tennis Center with 4 players, eventually 8. So, on court, we basically tied 9-9 in September, but won on court today 13-1 !

Anaheim, CA — JV Lady Lions upped their Trinity League record to 2 wins - 1 loss this afternoon at Anaheim Tennis Center; capturing 8 of 9 sets of doubles and 7 of 8 sets in singles.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — JSerra’s JV team defeated the Rosary Royals 12-6 this afternoon, evening out their Trinity League record to 1-1.

santa ana, CA — Memory aside, not sure that any JSerra team has posted a full Golden match, in which not one single game was lost. (Maybe we’ve been on the wrong end of that once or twice on Frosh / Soph!?)

San Juan Capistrano, CA — The Lions took it to El Toro today with a 14 - 1 victory. El Toro was short 1 athlete, so doubles was played on 4 courts for 3 rounds. 3 defaulted singles matches added to 11 of the 12 doubles sets won, gave the Lions the 14 points. Only 1 doubles set was lost.

CA — Wolverines were too much for the Lions this afternoon. They had solid, quick players in both singles and doubles. We had a tiny bit more success at doubles in terms of games won, but not by much.

Huntington Beach, CA — JSerra JV tennis team goes to “tin can beach” and gets oiled by the Oilers 15-3 this afternoon. Over the last few years, HB girls teams have dominated the old Sunset League area and even had a top 4 “open division” team prior to Covid. When varsity teams are that good, JV teams are as well.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Our Lions played a close match today against our cross town competition of Capo Valley High School by a score of 8-10.

Westminster, CA — Sharing 10 courts with Varsity both playing at same location, JV players dropped only 2 sets this afternoon.

Mission Viejo, CA — In dominating fashion, JSerra’s JV team swept the Tartans under the rug this afternoon, thereby evening up their record to 2 wins vs 2 losses. Everybody who played today is an MVP; each joined the 100% club winning all sets played. Olivia Nowlan stepped up to play, and win, a 3rd set for slightly injured Ava Hetland. With the exception of our top 3 singles players, everybody else got 2 full sets in today. Truly a total team effort.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — JV girls tennis gets first win of young season, thrashing the Crean Lutheran Saints this afternoon. Visiting Coach Mike agreed to an impromptu all doubles format, as he had 20+ girls in tow and it helped us give our girls a chance to play 2 or 3 full sets today.

Dana Point, CA — It’s been a long time coming, never having played Dana Hills at JV or Varsity levels, and our JV team fought hard for that inaugural win this afternoon, just missing by a score of 8 - 10.
