La Habra, CA — It was Homecoming on Friday night as your Sonora Raiders hosted the visiting Fullerton Indians, and it didn't take long for the fireworks to begin as the two teams took the field. Following a quick three-and-out, Sonora got the scoring started following a long drive, capped by a 17-yard touchdown run by Senior Running Back Nicholas Fernandez. Fullerton quickly countered with a score of their own, and the slugfest was underway.

La Habra, CA — It was an emotional Senior Night for the Class of 2024, as the Raiders competed for all four quarters against a physical and disciplined Portola High Bulldogs squad. The Raiders achieved victory with a 34-24 performance, improving their record to 3-1 on the 2024 campaign. A dominating rushing attack was the focal point for the Raiders offense, and the Sonora defense secured the victory with two key interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Raiders Show Grit, Overcome Obstacles in 14-7 Victory.
La Habra, CA — The Sonora Raiders hosted Vincent Memorial Catholic High School of Calexico at 5PM Friday night, in their home opener for the 2023 season. The Raiders would ultimately walk away the victors in a 14-7 slugfest, in which both offenses faced their challenges and setbacks. Sonora was led by the defensive unit, forcing four turnovers on the evening, including 2 key interceptions from Senior Corner Steve Peru. Outside linebacker Brady Ackerman would also force a fumble, and Safety Olin Morales Hyder would also come away with a red zone interception to stop the Vincent Memorial threat.

Raiders Make Statement in 32-6 victory over Whittier.
Whittier, CA — It was a big opening night for the Raiders as they hit the road to compete against Whittier High School. The Raiders came out sluggish in the first half, but capitalized on an early fumble recovery by Junior Mike Lozano, which led to an early 12 yard rushing score by Sophomore Aiden Peru. The Raiders offense dominated the second half, with Junior Anthony Abad striking for a 10 yard Touchdown run early in the third quarter. Abad would not be the only Raider to find the end zone, as Senior quarterback Landon Martin quickly found Senior Tyler Robertson on the next series for a 43 yard touchdown reception. Martin would then turn to Junior Olin Morales-Hyder, connecting on touchdown catches of 31 yards and 9 yards. Junior Brady Ackerman also turned in a note-worthy performance, ending the night with two catches for 71 yards. Senior Quarterback Landon Martin turned in an efficient performance, going 8-11 for 183 yards with three touchdown passes.
