The first tee time for the match was late in the afternoon (4:30 pm) and as a result all the players only got through 8 holes because of darkness. In the end, Newport won the match 172-241.

Laguna Beach, CA — The JV golf team for the Breakers won their first match of the season against Santa Margarita Catholic High School at Ben Browns in Laguna on Thursday 3/9. It was a great way to start with Laguna shooting a team score of 230 compared to SMCHS which posted a score of 242.

Laguna Beach, CA — The Laguna JV team played Corona Del Mar HS at Ben Browns golf course in a cross-conference match on Thursday 3/23. Pedro Pinera and James Schroeder both shot 44 to lead the way for Laguna. Trent Beason posted a 47; Oliver Bernard shot a 48 and Teddy Hacket shot a 58. Although their scores would not count because they were playing behind the match in a practice round, Shasha Riahi and Nick Jensen both had a good day shooting scores of 44 and 49 respectively.
