Galesburg, IL — The Silver Streaks Girls Basketball team advanced in the Galesburg Sectional with a dominating win over the Metamora Redbirds, 51 - 27. It was a smothering defensive effort by the Streaks who held the Redbirds scoreless until the 2nd quarter.

Galesburg, IL — The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team continued their winning ways Thursday night at John Thiel Gym with another conference win over the Alleman Pioneers, 47 - 25. The Streaks are now 19 -1 on the season and 7 - 1 in the Western Big 6.

Rock Island, IL — The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team hit the road on Saturday to play for the first time in the Iowa/Illinois Shootout at Augustana College and came away with a big win over the Bettendorf Bulldogs, 45 - 43.

Galesburg, IL — The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team led wire to wire as they hosted the Rock Island Rocks at John Thiel Gym on Thursday night for a 56 - 36 victory. The Streaks are now 17-1 on the season and 6-1 in Western Big 6 Conference play.

Galesburg, IL — The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team kicked off the new year with a home win over the Pekin Dragons, 50-23. Galesburg turned a 5-point first quarter lead into an 18-point one by halftime. The Streaks would cruise the rest of the way to improve to 16-1 on the season. The victory marks the 40th in the young career of head coach Lexi Demott as well as avenge a lost to Pekin last season.

East Moline, IL — It was a commanding Western Big 6 win for the Galesburg girls basketball team as they traveled to United Township on a snowy Saturday morning and came away with a 62 - 17 victory over the Panthers. The Silver Streaks are now 9 - 1 on the season and 4 - 1 in conference play.

Galesburg, IL — It was a thrilling Western Big 6 conference match-up Thursday night at John Thiel Gym as the Galesburg girls basketball team battled the Quincy Blue Devils. With no time left on the clock at the end of the 4th quarter, Quincy made 3 free throws to tie the Streaks and push the game to overtime. The game ended up going into double overtime but the Silver Streaks came away with a hard-earned victory over the Blue Devils, 76 - 71. The Streaks are now 8-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.

Geneseo, IL — The Streaks started slow today but still led 28-15 at half-time. But they roared to 19-2 third quarter on the way to a 57-20 win.

Galesburg, IL — In front of a huge crowd at John Thiel Gym, the Streak took over sole possession of the WB6 with a 55-41 win over Quincy. Galesburg was extremely efficient offensively, shooting 48% from the field, 43% from threes, and turned the ball over only 11 times.

East Moline, IL — Streaks came from behind on Saturday for a huge conference win over UT. It moved the Streaks to 8-0, 3-0. Galesburg was down 11 in the first half before going on a 19-9 third quarter run to enter the fourth quarter ahead, 42-38. The Streaks never gave up the lead.

Galesburg, IL — Tuesday’s game with Washington was in front of a good crowd. The combination of the crowd and two very good teams playing, it was very much like a post season atmosphere. The teams battled to a 20-18 Streaks lead at half-time. Kiarra Kilgore sliced the Washington defense to score 22 of Galesburg’s first 26 points. Then in the third quarter Alexis Edgerson took over the scoring, the finished the game with 10 points.

Streaks got scoring from Julia Robinson, Taylor Herchenroder, Grace Herchenroder, Joz Kilgore, Lily Furrow, Syriah Boyd, Addie Peck, and Joss Peck.

Kiarra Kilgore, Julia Robinson, Ella Herchenroder, Annabelle Giles, Alexis Edgerson, Joz Kilgore, Antonia Kisler, Syriah Boyd, Addie Peck, Joss Peck, and Cora Johnson all poured in points for the win. Taylor Herchenroder handed out 7 assists.

Sterling, IL — Vs Springfield- triplets Ella, Taylor, and Grace all hit threes in the same game. Until we hear otherwise, we say that is a State record having all three triplets hitting a three in the same game!!

Galesburg, IL — Streaks got a nice win on Saturday night vs Springfield High. Galesburg started patiently in the first quarter but then got hot in the second quarter. Five different players drained threes- Alexis Edgerson, Antonia Kisler, Ella Herchenroder, Taylor Herchenroder, and Grace Herchenroder. The game was broken open in the third quarter as Kiarra Kilgore poured in 11 points in the quarter. Next up for the Streaks will be Sterling (3-1) on the road in our first conference game.
