Holt, MI — Holt Rams complete the Okemos Sweep, win 29-7.

Okemos, MI — The HJR Dombroski Bronze 4th grade boys team took to the road in a convincing 30-4 win over Okemos 16 today.

Holt, MI — The HJR Dombroski Bronze team bounced back in solid fashion with an overwhelming 40-6 score against St. Johns today.

Lansing, MI — The HJR Dombroski Bronze team (4-1) lost a heart breaker today against a tough Lansing Christian (5-2) team, 24-20. The Rams fought back from a disappointing first quarter and turned up the heat defensively to claw their way back to take the lead at halftime. The back and forth match up continued through the 3rd quarter where both teams had good offensive production with strong defensive effort. In the end, the Pilgrims offensive productivity was too much and handed the Rams their first loss of the season.

Fowlerville, MI — The Holt Rams returned to peak form on Sunday, January 25 as they defeated Fowlerville 34 to 10. The Rams were led by Cameron Powell (8 PTS/3RBS) & Makhi Love (8PTS/1RB), respectively. The game was a solid match up as Fowlerville was able to hold the Rams to only 10 points in the first half but the Rams kept themselves in the game with an impressive defensive and rebounding effort. The Rams also got good productivity from Kash James (6 PTS/5RBS) and Nasir Lane (4 PTS/3 RBS) with solid contributions from Jaxson James (4 PTS/6RBA), Ryan Brooks (2PTS/4RBS), Jackson Dombroskj (2 PTS/2RBS) & Holden Wharton (3RBS). The Rams had another impressive rebounding showing with 27 rebounds as a team. With too many steals to count, Coach Julie Dombroski stated, “What I liked best about this game was how the boys were able to bounce back when challenged. They are starting to understand how sharing the ball will lead to easy baskets.” Coach Chris Brooks also added, “It’s really exciting to see how effective our out of bounds plays were and how we were able to pass to create baskets.”

Williamston, MI — The Holt Junior Rams Dombroski Bronze boys team scored a season 40 points in a 40-4 victory over Williamston today. The Rams got a blazing start with defensive steals by Cameron Powell (6) and a season high rebounding performance by Marquis Davis Jr (12), Holden Wharton (8) Zachary Mead (6) and Jackson Dombroski (5). This was a total team effort win as the Rams collected a season high total of 43 rebounds. The Rams got scoring season highs from Makhi Love (4), and Nasir Lane (4) and Jackson Dombroski (4) as well as getting scoring contributions from Jackson James (4), Kash James (6), Marquise Davis Jr (4), Zachary Mead (10) and Ryan Brooks (2).

Holt, MI — The Holt Rams Dombroski Bronze team returned to the hardwood with an impressive 28-14 win over Grand Ledge on Sunday. The Rams were led offensively and defensively by Cameron Powell (10 points) and Zachary Mead (8 points). The Rams also got significant contributions from Cash James (6 points) and Makhi Love (4 points). The Rams were most effective on the defensive end, primarily in the first half, taking a commanding 14-5 lead at the half. After a sluggish 3rd quarter, the Rams turned up the rebounding effort to end with 25 rebounds as a team. Jackson Dombroski, Nasir Lane, Jackson James and Holden Wharton held down the lane on both ends of the floor for the Rams to get their 2nd victory of the season. The Rams will return to standard practice times this week (Monday and Wednesday at 6:15 pm at Washington Wood.)

Holt, MI — The Dombroski Browns Holt Rams won their season opener 28 - 10 on December 14. Rams were led by Zachary Mead with 12 points followed by Cash James with six points. The Rams also got contributions from rebounding from every players on the team along with two points from Ryan Brookes four points from Cameron Powell & two points from Nasir. The Rams next game isn’t until after the holiday season but the Rams will have practice on Monday, December 15 at normal time.

Holt, MI — The HJR-Dombroski Team lost a close contest with the Stockbridge boys 3rd grade team on Sunday, January 26 with a score of 24-19. The HJR found themselves down by as many as 8 in the first half but came storming back off tough defense and rebounding. The HJR saw two Rams get their first points of the season in this contest - Congrats to Adrien Hutchinson & Jaxson James!

Eaton Rapids, MI — The HJR-Dombroski put up an impressive shutout over Eaton Rapids today. Lots of first for this rookie squad including the first points of the season for both Cameron Flores and Liam Vandecar! Assists were also on the menu as the team put their unselfish play on full display and worked toward their goals in the 2nd half. Rebounding was the major factor in this game as the team hit a season high 40 rebounds! HJR are back at Home tomorrow as they take on a scrappy Dansville team.
