Waukegan, IL — Rafael Villalobos Jr. was dominant on the hill, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in the Zee-Bee's 8-4 victory over Waukegan under the lights at Bowen Park. Villalobos Jr. threw a complete game, allowing 3 hits and 4 runs, while walking only 3.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees defeated the Waukegan Bulldogs 10-1 on Monday. The Bees got on the board in the bottom of the firs tinning after two errors plated 3 runs. Jack Marabella then added to the scoring with a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Mikey Gonzalez.

Zion, IL — In a high-scoring affair, the Zee-Bees fell to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs on Saturday.

Racine, WI — Andrew Mitchell was dominant on the hill again, as he rang up 11 strikeouts in the Zee-Bees 12-0 victory over the Racine-Horlick Rebels on Saturday. Mitchell allowed one hit and no runs over five innings of work, walking two.

Kenosha, WI — Andrew Mitchell struck out 10 batters as he helped lead the Zee-Bees past Wilmot Union High School 8-3 on Thursday. Mitchell threw a complete game surrendering four hits and three runs while only walking one.

Skokie, IL — Both teams were strong on the mound Wednesday night but the Bees were unable to plate any runs and fell to the Niles North Vikings. Andrew Mitchell went the distance throwing a complete game on 75 pitches and striking out two. Mitchell also went 2-3 at the plate. The Bees played solid defense across the board. Jaxon Zaugra and Mikey Gonzalez threw out runners attempting to score at the plate while Rafael Villalobos made a leaping grab at short. The Zee-Bees return to action on Saturday, playing a double header against the Wheeling Wildcats.

Grayslake, IL — The Zee-Bees fell in their first contest of the year 9-4 to Grayslake North. The Bees captured the lead in the top of the 3rd 3-1 after Brayden Duran singled, Michael Gonzalez singled, and Andrew Mitchell hit into a fielder's choice, scoring 3 runs. The Knights recaptured the lead in the bottom of the inning, hitting 2 home runs, and never relinquished the lead. The Zee-Bees fought back, putting up 1 more run in the top of the sixth when AJ Neargarder singled in courtesy runner Ivan Jones. Neargarder took the loss on the mound, throwing 3 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits, striking out 5, and walking 1. Ryan Dunne pitched one inning of scoreless relief. The Zee-Bees return to action tomorrow traveling to Niles North to take on the Vikings at 4:45 pm.

Wheeling, IL — The Zee Bees couldn't keep up with the Wheeling Wildcats and fell 8-0 on Saturday.

Lincolnshire, IL — The Stevenson Patriots put up runs early and often, defeating the Zee-Bees 11-1. Michael Gonzalez, John Bass, and Andrew Mitchell each collected one hit to lead the Bee's offense. Mitchell drove in the Bee's only run, scoring Michael Gonzalez from third. Sammy Villarreal took the loss on the mound allowing 3 earned runs through 1 and 1/3 of an inning. The Zee-Bees return to action on Saturday against Wilmot High School.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees downed Stevenson 6-4 Tuesday evening. In the first inning, the Bees started their offense. John Bass singled home two runs. Andrew Mitchell added to the Zee-Bees total, hitting a sacrifice fly to score Ivan Jones. The Bees added additional runs in the fourth, fifth, & sixth innings on two hits from Michael Gonzalez & John Bass, a sacrifice fly from Adrian Gonzalez, and Julian Guzman scoring on a passed ball.

Waukegan, IL — In dramatic fashion under the lights at Bowen Park, the Zee-Bees defeated the Waukegan Bulldogs 4-3 to sweep the conference series.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees battle through snowy conditions in a back-and-forth game against the Antioch Sequiots. The Zee-Bees took the lead back in the bottom of the first starting with back-to-back doubles by Dominic Diliberti and AJ Neargarder. With two outs, Andrew Carlson roped a single to right field, scoring Neargarder. The Zee-Bees gave the lead back in the top of the 2nd with a few misplays in the field. However, they fought back in the bottom of the inning starting with Michael Gonzalez reaching base on an error. He was able to get to second beating a pick-off throw. Kaden Oatsvall joined Gonzalez on the bases with a walk. Dominic Diliberti put the ball in play, and reached on an error by the pitcher, scoring Gonzalez and moving Oatsvall to third. Sean Sarzaba came in to run for Diliberti and was thrown out trying to steal second, but Oatsvall was able to score on the throw down all while AJ Neargarder was at bat. Neargarder drew a two-out walk and then advanced to third on a passed ball while Rafael "Junior" Villalobos was at bat. Villalobos walked, but Henry Stried was struck out to end the Bee's rally. The Bee's bats were silenced in the 3rd while Antioch was able to put up more runs. Going into the bottom of the 4th the Zee-Bees were down 10-4. The Bees started the bottom of the 4th with a single from Marcelo Gonzalez. That was followed by a solid single from Dominic Diliberti. AJ Neargarder attempted to bunt for a hit, but Gonzalez was thrown out at 3rd. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos came up and hit a hard ground ball to the third basemen, who made an error, allowing the courtesy runner, Sean Sarzaba to score. Villalobos and Neargarder advanced to 2nd and 3rd respectively. Henry Stried drove both of them in with a line drive single to left center, making the score 10-7. The Bees scored again in the bottom of the 5th when Dominic Diliberti grounded into a fielder's choice scoring Michael Gonzalez bringing the score to 10-8. Antioch put two more runs up in the top of the 6th, but the Bees continued to fight back. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos singled to start the bottom of the 6th and was joined on the bases by Henry Stried when he was hit by a pitch. Andrew Carlson lined into a double play but was picked up by Malachi Baartz, who singled down the left field line, plating Junior. Baartz, however, was thrown out trying to stretch the single into a double leaving the Bees down 12-9. Antioch put up an insurance run in the top of the 7th placing the score at 13-9. With two outs in the bottom of the 7th, the Zee-Bees tried to rally one more time. Kaden Oatsvall, Dominic Diliberti, and AJ Neargarder walked bringing the tying run in Rafael "Junior" Villalobos to the plate. Junior worked the count full but was unable to win the battle, ending the game at 13-9.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-2 loss to Lake Forest on Tuesday. Andrew Mitchell went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Zee-Bees in hits. Sammy Villarreal, Ivan Jones, Aaden Grider, & Mikey Gonzalez also contributed hits to the cause with Mikey Gonzalez driving in the Bee's two runs. The Zee-Bees are back in action this Saturday for a double-header at Antioch High School.

Rolling Meadows, IL — The Bees had multiple scoring opportunities in their game against Rolling Meadows, but they were unable to capitalize and fall to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs 10-1. Andrew Mitchell fell in his Varsity debut giving up six runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bees. AJ Neargarder, Malachi Baartz, and Mikey Gonzalez making his Varsity debut, tallied hits for the Zee-Bees. Sean Sarzaba scored the Bee's lone run, courtesy running for Dom Diliberti, who walked twice on the day. The Zee-Bees return to action at home on Monday next week against Lake Forest.

Mundelein, IL — The Zee Bees fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to Mundelein on Wednesday.

Zion, IL — A walk-off single propelled the Bess to a decisive, dramatic victory over Lake Zurich 8-7. The Zee-Bees came back in the bottom of the 7th inning, scoring 5 runs to earn the victory. Michael Gonzalez singled on the first pitch of his second at-bat of the inning to drive in the winning run. Sammy Villarreal was credited with the victory in the game, allowing no hits and 1 run over three and third innings, striking out 5. Michael Gonzalez started the game for the Bees going three and two-thirds innings, allowing three earned runs while striking out 6 batters. He also went 2 for 4 at the plate leading the team in hits and RBIs. John Bass, Ivan Jones, & Carl Harmon III contributed two runs each, while hits were collected by Sammy Villarreal, Andrew Mitchell, Jack Marabella, Ivan Jones, & John Bass. The Zee Bees return to the diamond traveling to Lake Zurich for the rubber match in the two-game series.
