Shrewsbury scored firs at 4:19 on a power play goal to take a 1-0 advantage, but Parker Meyer scored a power play goal for Wachusett at 7:25 with assists going to Matt Bjorkman and Cody Penniman. Shrewsbury would score at 12:30 to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

The first line of Flaherty, Sophomore Cody Penniman and Sophomore Caden Lane combined for 13 total points on the night as Penniman and Lane each netted 1 goal and 2 assists.
