With both teams aiming to end the season on a high note, it was Fountain Valley who emerged as the victors with a season-best team score of 187.

Despite the Breaker's second-best team score of the season compared to par, 213, it was Newport Harbor High School that emerged victorious with a score of 178.

Costa Mesa, CA — On a sunny day at the Mesa Linda golf course in Costa Mesa, California, the boys' varsity golf teams from Laguna Beach high school and Corona Del Mar high school competed in a Sunset Conference cross-league match. Ultimately, Corona Del Mar emerged victorious, finishing with a score of 184 to Laguna Beach's 224.

The match was a closely contested affair, but it was Fountain Valley who emerged victorious with a score of 225 to Laguna Beach's 236.

Laguna Niguel, CA — The Breakers played a non-league match against San Juan Hills HS at El Niguel Country Club on Wednesday. After a rainy morning, the sun came out just in time for the first tee shot and it was a beautiful day on the tough El Niguel course.

Laguna Beach, CA — It was a great finish to the regular season, as the varsity team score of 209 equaled their team-low score of the year on the Ben Browns course.

Irvine, CA — The LBHS varsity golf team hosted Fountain Valley high school at Rancho San Joaquin golf course on Tuesday 4/26/22 for another Wave League Match. The Breaker's first group of senior captain Jake Cutter and sophomore Russell Franconi-Krychman got off to a hot start with both of them making a birdie on the first hole! Both of them ended up with low scores for the team, posting 45 and 44 respectively. In addition, senior Harrison Judd came through with one of his best scores of the season, posting a 47. Overall, the team score of 232 was the second best score of the year relative to par on a full-length course.

Laguna Beach, CA — On Wednesday, May 26th the JV players teed it up at Ben Brown's golf course for the final round of the 2021 JV Championship. It looked like a two-player race to begin the day, with Chase Tyson holding a 6 stroke lead over Jackson Lawsky. Both players had a comfortable gap on the rest of the players, with 3rd and 4th place George Saba and Cooper Wollen over ten strokes back.

Santa Ana, CA — On Wednesday, May 19th, the varsity team traveled to the oldest golf course in Orange County - Willowick golf course in Santa Ana, to play our final wave league match of the year against Fountain Valley HS. The players responded with our best team score of the year, posting a total of 218 on the par 35 course.

Laguna Beach, CA — On Wednesday, May 19th the JV players were again at Ben Brown's golf course for the second round of the 2021 JV Championship. The race for the tournament winner in both scoring and putting remains close and is still up for grabs.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — The varsity team finished its regular season traveling to Dove Canyon Country Club on Tuesday to play Trabuco Hills HS. This was the first time playing this course for most of our players and it showed, as the home course knowledge paid off for Trabuco as they won by a total of 17 strokes. This is a Jack Nicholas designed course with dramatic views, elevation changes, forced carries and tough green complexes; its certainly one of the best and most challenging courses we've played all season. For Laguna, Ben Sharp and Dante Fornaro played well with both players posting solid scores of 41.

Laguna Beach, CA — The varsity team played our last home match of the season against Trabuco Hills HS on Monday at Ben Brown's golf course in Laguna. This was a non-league match against a strong Sea View league team, so it was a good look at the quality of teams we will see in the CIF playoffs. Team captain Kyle Sharp shot the low score of the day with an even par 32, racking up his 11th medalist honors of the season. Ben Sharp also posted a solid score of 36. Our overall record is now 11-5 with one match remaining.
