Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — JV ends near perfect season with a solid win at Santa Margarita 15 - 3. Winning 7 of 9 doubles and 8 of 9 in singles, the outcome was never in doubt as the girls took the first round 5 sets to 1, as they did so many times this season.

Fountain Valley, CA — Overall record 8-1, Trinity League record 1-1.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA — Literally at the base of Mnt. San Antonio and only a few miles from the origin of the Budge Fire, we lucked out with an “ocean breeze” and had a comfortable afternoon of tennis.

Aliso Viejo, CA — JV girls tennis up’d their record to 3 wins - 0 losses with a non-league win at Aliso Niguel HS this afternoon. Most of the team members got to play 2 full sets, a few 1…. but everyone who went got to play!

Huntington Beach, CA — JV travel squads S, A & B all got on the bus and traveled to Huntington Beach with our Varsity team.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Heartbreak better learned at the Frosh Soph level than CIF Championship Finals, been there done that = no fun. We had to win 10-8, as game count was 3 off with the tie. However, we previously lost to Capo 12-6, so this was a big improvement. AND, we are going to play them one more time in 2 weeks….

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — A bit warm, but playable. We got off to a slow start, dropping the first round 2-4, which was the score for the 2 subsequent rounds as well. Playing a regular format: 9 singles sets with 9 doubles sets, JSerra doubles fared a bit better in dubs, winning 4 while singles won only 2.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — With two players pulled up to play on the CRIMSON squad and several others at M.U.N.,

Newport Beach, CA — Despite the loss, this was a fun rematch to be involved with. There was some very good tennis and some great individual effort today.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Foothill had a couple of JV players in the line-up today, at our request …. hoping for them to have 12 girls show up, so we could play an all doubles format. Well, that backfired, but our team played well and battled hard. We let the “C” squad play twice because of an earlier rainout, and all the “B” squad members played twice yesterday.

Mission Viejo, CA — We got 1 win this weekend out of 3 tries, but that’s ok. Looking at Coach Jena’s score card, I’d say we did pretty well in this all doubles format. Thank you to Coach Alan and Suzie for accommodating us and getting more players into the match.

Newport Coast, CA — It was a beautiful day for JSerra Tennis in Newport Beach at Sage Hill on Saturday morning. This match was all about the girls trying different positions for the end of the season, with some girls being able to try singles for the first time!

San Juan Capistrano, CA — The Cougars defeated the Lions once again on Friday. With a final score of 8-10, the Lions yet again put up a good fight but couldn’t pull through. The match was played at home with an all doubles format.

Aliso Viejo, CA — After a 14-4 win w our DH-1 squad earlier the season, we went to ANHS w a slightly “lighter”squad - on paper anyway. 3 of our top 10 players stayed behind to help out their DH-2 sisters in their rematch vs Capo Valley, while 2 others were out ill.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — JSerra FS got out-dub’d this afternoon in this all doubles format, 3-15. SC Coach Ellie must have expected our DH-1 squad, because she brought her top 12 players. But we coaches are proud of the effort our B & C squad today, across all 6 lines. Many sets were tighter than the final score suggests.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Frosh Soph squads A & B put our FS program back in the winning column today, defeating Canyon High School 18-0. Canyon HS in Anaheim Hills is a “storied” program w a history of strong teams at Varsity and JV. Had we known the experience level of their FS team, we would have suited up our DH2 team for a little more competition. But our girls were good hostesses, did not gloat at the ez victories; we had some closer sets at lines 4,5 & 6 in this all doubles match. Thank you ladies for your classy sportsmanship this afternoon, that means a lot to us coaches.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Disappointing loss for the DH1 squad this afternoon, following an all doubles win (12-9) vs San Clemente in our season opener. With DH2 losing at Fountain Valley, FS overall record is now 6 wins vs 6 losses….need to step it back up!

San Juan Capistrano, CA — Fountain Valley has 30+ girls on their Frosh Soph team, similar to us and they have a strong program from the top down, as evidenced by today’s match.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — After wins by both JV and Varsity earlier this month, our FS DH-1 squad completed a sweep against this powerhouse tennis program, first time ever for us.

Westminster, CA — Usually our matches w La Quinta go right down to the wire. This afternoon, we won by a little bit bigger margin. The all doubles format was a blessing to both teams as we had large squads on both. Thank you Coach Pascal and Kim for accommodating and hosting. Almost everybody got to play twice.
